Mandatory EPCS in Maryland

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan signed Senate Bill 0166 into law on May 8th, 2020. This Act requires prescribers to electronically prescribe schedule II drugs by January 1st, 2022 in an effort to combat opioid abuse and addiction.

Maryland Controlled Substances Prescription Monitoring

Maryland does not currently offer an integration with their Controlled Substances PMP. Through an integration, prescribers can go directly to the patient's PMP report without having to log in to the PMP and search for the patient.
